What changes

The project is the container, and it holds what an engineering project actually consists of: the drawing register with revision status, the specifications and calculation notes, the disciplines involved, the permit and approval milestones, the inspection reports, the deliverable schedule, the client and the fee stages. Not a folder tree that only makes sense to the person who built it.

The site visit stops being retyped. An inspector opens the project on a phone, fills the inspection form on location with photos attached, and every finding that needs action becomes an assigned item with a date. The report the client is expecting is drafted by Atty from that form rather than reconstructed from a notebook after dinner.

Questions people ask

Is this a CAD or BIM tool?

No. It does not author, open or coordinate geometry, and your team keeps working in the CAD and modelling software they already use. Attain OS manages what surrounds those files: the register, the revision status, the review and approval stages, the issue record and the inspections that reference them.

How does it handle several disciplines on the same project?

One project, disciplines as separate lanes on the deliverable board and separate sections of the register, with dependencies between them visible. An external specialist can be brought in as a collaborator limited to their own scope rather than given the whole project.

Can clients, contractors and authorities see only what we issued them?

Yes. Sharing is deliberate and per item. You share a specific set, report or document by link, and you can give a contractor limited access to their scope only. Nobody gets the working files or the internal review just because they received an issued drawing.

What about permits and compliance deadlines?
